About 'Hoxton Brides' by Outfit Faux
The KR File of 'Hoxton Brides' by Outfit Faux with Dishan Abrahams on bass features a great bass performance in this trio setting. Play along and study Dishan's performance, as always loop and slow down tricky sections and step in the footsteps of the bassist for Kylie Minogue, Leona Lewis and The Sugababes. Great performance and if you ever get to meet Dishan - he is one of the nicest guys around!

About Dishan Abrahams
I’m a bass player from Perth, Australia currently living in London. I dabbled with a few different instruments when I was a kid and finally decided bass was the one for me when I was about 15.
Although I was self-taught, I was in the fortunate position of being able to learn to play in a band, pretty much from day one of picking up the bass, in church and later in clubs, bars, etc. I feel like this was the best training for me and I think it’s a really quick way to learn what’s required in whatever role you play on stage.
After I finished school I studied Jazz at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, where I got my first formal lessons on my instrument. There were some amazing players at the academy when I went through and it was a great environment to sharpen your skills in. I still feel like I’m learning from those guys today.
During this time, I started to get busy playing as many gigs as I could get and eventually joined a band which managed to get signed and do a bunch of touring and recording which, for me, was like the next stage in learning my trade. The band, as is so often the case, separated after a few years but it left me with the bug of playing my own music and so I formed another band and with this outfit, decided to make the move to London. A few years later, after this band also split up, I decided to go back to just being a bass player.
Since then I have been fortunate enough to play with some amazing artists and musicians on some incredible shows and I hope I can continue to do so. These include Kylie, Leona Lewis, Nicole Scherzinger, Sugababes, Christophe Willem, the London Horns and many more.
